Fundraising

We are always looking for new and fun ways to raise funds for the club. Any ideas would be welcome. We are also looking for a volunteer to take on this important aspect of the club and anyone interested in helping in any way should contact either Kitty or Julia.

Profile on Julie Long

Julie is the Administrator of Futureprint Netball Club. She organises all the paperwork for the trianing sessions, leagues and tournaments. She is ably suported by the rest of the family; her husband, her daughter and her son. But the extended family are also heavily involved which includes her mother Kitty, and her sister Sally. Her biggest strength to the club is knowing the young players that walk through the door. From the moment they join, they are made to feel welcome. Her record keeping is thorough which has helped the club gain the CAPS GOLD AWARD. She organises all teams from U12 to U18 ( a total of 10 teams) all who play every Sunday at Benham. They all play at different times, she collects the money, provides the bibs and kit. Julie is the first person they ring if they cannot play! She organises the coaches, her helpers, as well as making sure that everyone knows what they are doing!! She is a true volunteer administrator and her ability to get people on board to help is worth noting but it is her 'way' with organising the young players that makes her stand out. Without her skills, our club would be much the poorer.

Hannah

Profile on Hannah Long

Hannah is a young, keen enthusiastic netballer who has developed into a mature and responsible member of the club. She attends training regularly and alwyas, at the request of the coaches, leads the warm up. The ideas she gets from County training and she helps develop other club players by replicating them. She also attends training sessions for younger members which she leads from the start (guided by coaches). She also helps umpire the games. She is always lively and smiling and this rubs off on her fellow players. In 2005 she assisted with the newly formed High Five club. She developed her coaching skills and has been recommeded to attend a coaching course next season to gain a qualification. She is a stalwart at league matches on Sunday, where whe collects the subs from ALL the teams, checks off the team sheets, fills in the paperwork, and ensures all kit is collected at the end. Her mum is the organsier but Hannah is her own person when it comes to helping and organising and she is alwyas present even when her Mother cannot make it. She is a huge asset to the club and a shining example for other players to look up to.
